I depend on peoples opinions too much. I could absolutely love a picture I’ve taken until someone says they don’t like it, and then I feel like shit and don’t want to take photos anymore. I have been working on this one particular piece for about a month in a half. It’s a simple piece but up until today I’ve enjoyed it. Simple green background with orange-red poppy-like flowers made from and old skirt. The accent it the different width of white-out dashes for stems. But I though it was a touch plain so I cut out butterflies from an old novel. But I can’t figure out the placement. I asked Paddy’s opinion and all he really did was shrug and say, “Still looks plain to me.” I got frustrated and tossed what I was doing aside. He told me, “It doesn’t matter, Make a picture you like”. But I can’t! I can’t do anything just for me or just because I like it, because I’m always wanting the approval a praise of others. I want someone to tell me that it’s nice or whatever, even if I think it looks like shit. I'm not an artist, I’ve not creative, I’m a damn flake.
